TW-980LB Automated Vegetable Centrifugal Dewatering Machines
Compact automatic centrifugal dewatering for approximately 800 kg–1.0 t/h leafy vegetables and 1.5 t/h root vegetables
The TW-980LB is a compact fully automatic centrifugal dewatering line for cut salad leaves, root vegetables and other washed produce. It receives product continuously as part of an integrated line, while the centrifugal section dewaters each load in a controlled automatic batch before automatic discharge.
Reference capacity is approximately 800 kg–1.0 t/h for leafy vegetables and 1.5 t/h for root vegetables, depending on product, cut size, bulk density, incoming surface water and the selected recipe. Its 600 mm basket, smaller footprint and approximately 9.3 kW installed power distinguish it from the larger TW-980LV.
- Approximately 800 kg–1.0 t/h for leafy vegetables, depending on product and recipe
- Approximately 1.5 t/h for root vegetables, depending on product and recipe
- 600 mm inner basket diameter
- Standard operating range: 83–800 rpm; adjustable up to 960 rpm
- Five standard product recipes, expandable to 20; each stores dewatering time and speed
- Automatic feeding, controlled batch centrifugation and automatic discharge
- Perforated infeed surface, air-knife-assisted product release and a removable conveyor belt for cleaning
- More compact footprint and lower installed power than the TW-980LV
Details
The TW-980LB is designed as the surface-water removal stage between vegetable washing and inspection, weighing, mixing, cooling or packing. Upstream conveyors deliver product continuously; the centrifugal section then runs a configurable automatic batch cycle and discharges product for continuous line transfer.
Controlled automatic dewatering
- Receive washed product on the perforated infeed surface.
- Load the 600 mm inner basket for a controlled batch.
- Run the selected recipe using the stored dewatering time and speed.
- Use air-knife assistance only to release material adhering to the basket or drum; it is not hot-air drying or a separate air-knife drying stage.
- Discharge automatically to the downstream conveyor.
Five recipes are provided as standard and the control system can be expanded to 20. Final settings should be confirmed with the actual vegetable and required finished condition.

| Maximum adjustable speed | Up to 960 rpm | Up to 840 rpm |
| Installed power | Approx. 9.3 kW | Approx. 13.5 kW |
| Overall dimensions | 6600 × 1800 × 2320 mm | 10430 × 2300 × 2845 mm |
| Best fit | Compact leafy-salad and root-vegetable lines | Higher-volume leafy and root-vegetable lines |
Both models receive product continuously as part of an integrated line, while the centrifugal dewatering section operates in controlled automatic batches. Final model selection should consider the actual vegetable, cut size, incoming surface water, required finished condition, line capacity and available floor space. Compare the TW-980LB compact dewatering line with the TW-980LV high-capacity dewatering line.
Applications
The TW-980LB is suited to compact fresh-cut, RTE salad and root-vegetable lines.
- Leaf lettuce, baby leaf, cabbage and mixed salad at approximately 800 kg–1.0 t/h
- Root vegetables at approximately 1.5 t/h
- Fresh-cut vegetable factories and central kitchens
- Installations where floor space and installed power favor the compact model
Final capacity and finished condition depend on the real vegetable, cut size, loading, incoming water and recipe settings.
Configure a TW-980LB Dewatering Line
Share the vegetable, cut size, incoming surface-water condition, required finished condition, target line capacity, available footprint, electrical supply and compressed-air supply. TEEMYEAH can recommend a recipe and confirm whether the compact TW-980LB or larger TW-980LV better fits the project.
How the TW-980LB Works
Product enters continuously from the integrated line, is loaded into the centrifugal section for a controlled automatic batch, and is discharged automatically. The air knife only assists release of material adhering to the basket or drum.
Recipes, Speed and Cycle Control
Five standard recipes, expandable to 20, store time and speed. The standard range is 83–800 rpm, with adjustment up to 960 rpm. A reference cycle is approximately 45 seconds per batch, including approximately 10 seconds of high-speed spinning.
Compressed-Air and Cleaning Planning
Provide approximately 0.6 MPa compressed air and size the system for approximately 1 m³/min instantaneous consumption. Demand varies with cycle and operating frequency. The line uses no continuous production water; reference cleaning is approximately 0.5 m³ and about 30 minutes under factory-reference conditions.
Choosing Between TW-980LB and TW-980LV
Choose the TW-980LB for compact leafy-salad lines and lower installed power. Choose the TW-980LV when the larger basket, higher-volume handling and published root-vegetable capacity better match the project.
