We are introducing the TY-220 automatic basket weighing and filling machine, a new reciprocating model for receiving washed vegetables and fruit in central kitchens and fresh-cut produce plants. Our first prototype is complete, and we are now reviewing project configurations with customers.

TY-220: A New Design Following Operator Feedback

The TY-220 succeeds the TY-110, which has been discontinued. Feedback on product accumulation around the previous receiving tray and access for cleaning and servicing guided the redesign.

  • Belt transfer: a conveyor replaces the receiving tray to reduce material accumulation and improve product transfer.
  • Simpler structure: the layout improves access for cleaning, maintenance and repositioning.
  • Alternating receiving stations: the former basket-buffer arrangement is replaced by reciprocating dual-station filling with full-basket alerts.

Set the Weight, Fill, Switch and Replace

Operators set the target basket weight on the touchscreen. The machine receives product at one weighing station and switches to the other when the target is reached. Audible and visual signals indicate that the filled basket is ready to remove.

The operator replaces the full basket while the other station receives product. This arrangement reduces waiting during basket changes; continuous operation depends on timely replacement and a feed rate matched to the filling cycle.

Designed for Washing Lines and Existing Baskets

The TY-220 is designed to follow 406, 506 and 606-3 series vegetable washers and receive washed produce for the next handling stage. It accommodates standard 980B and 980C dewatering baskets, as well as suitable plastic draining or turnover baskets with an internal opening dimension greater than 300 mm and a height no greater than 400 mm.

Reusing suitable baskets can simplify an upgrade. Our team will review basket shape, loading stability, discharge height and line layout for each project.

Weighing, Controls and Cleaning Access

Two C3-class load cells provide the weighing input. The maximum gross load is 50 kg per basket, including the basket and its contents. The 4.3-inch touchscreen supports target-weight setting, scale calibration and weight display, while a PLC and variable-frequency drive coordinate operation.

The 304 stainless steel structure is designed for accessible cleaning and maintenance. Follow the supplied cleaning instructions and verify basket-weight consistency with the actual produce during commissioning.
